I am an innovator with a healing agenda

My mission is to support women empowerment and agency through education on body and cycle literacy, and to build innovative frameworks for economies and societies that are regenerative by design and informed by nature.

I am an independent researcher, speaker, author, teacher and consultant.

In 2014, I began studying female fertility and in 2018, I became the first Italian to qualify as a Sensiplan® method teacher, specialising in the diagnosis of hormonal health and natural contraception (symptothermal method, recommended by DGGG in their Guidelines).

In 2015 I formulated a research hypothesis and two years later I opened my consulting company in Berlin. In 2022 I published my research on the so-called Cyclic Blueprint Theory (or La Teoria della Matrice Ciclica). This publication was very well received by health  professionals: I became the most quoted author in the manual for clinicians La PNEI del ciclo mestruale, by Claudia Sfetez (SEAO Edizioni 2024) and a visiting professor at SEAO Florence, a leading the school for advanced midwifery studies. In 2025, I discovered the studies of C.S. Holling et al. on the adaptive cycle/panarchy theory, which further validate my theory. The Cyclic Blueprint Theory is, as far as I know, the first and only practical application of the adaptive cycle and panarchy theory to women’s health.

In 2022, my first essay, Questo è il ciclo (This is the cycle), was published by Mimesis Edizioni with a preface by Jennifer Guerra. It was among the top 5% books in terms of Italian sales in 2023 and 2024. It details my research on the Cyclic Blueprint.

In 2025 I published Ecologia Mestruale (Menstrual Ecology) with Mimesis Edizioni, a pop-science book that translates my complex research into applicable advice for women.

THE CYCLIC BLUEPRINT THEORY

My research is transdisciplinary and comparative at heart, and ispired by biomimicry.

It identifies a fractal meta-pattern that governs each and every change process in all living and non-living things, from the breath to geological time, and, of course, the menstrual cycle.

This meta-pattern has four phases, which essentially maintain the same “mission and personality” across levels, species and systems. This meta-pattern can be used as a knowledge transfer tool that allows doctors, women and policy makers to provide better diagnosis, education and preventative measures against the causes, drivers and solutions to several menstrual disorders, e.g. PMS.

In addition, it provides a clear and practical framework for regenerative design thinking and processes, which can help humanity shape new societies and economies that thrive with the ecosystem.

Additional experience and qualifications

I studied Modern and Contemporary History, then Foreign Literature and International and Diplomatic Sciences, graduating Summa cum Laude from the School for Interpreters and Translators at the University of Bologna. I continued my studies in England, Spain, and Ireland, where I specialised in Development Economics and studied Business Ethics at the Darden Business School. I obtained an international Master’s degree in Innovation Development and Change in Bologna and perfected my lobbying techniques for the Green Economy at the European Parliament.

I worked on equal opportunities and living and working conditions programs for the European Commission’s agency Eurofound and the Irish government’s agency Pobal from 2006 to 2008. During the same period, I was involved as an environmental activist at the Cultivate Centre and as senior editor of the Italia dall’Estero press freedom project.

In 2008, I joined the Faculty of Nuclear Physics at the University of Pavia as project manager of a European research project in nuclear medicine. In 2010, I managed a team of architects working in the green economy and at the Provincial Museum of Campania on a multimedia educational project related to the prehistoric Mater Matutae.

In 2011, in Berlin, I became responsible for all Transparency International‘s research and development projects in Latin America relating to drinking water and sanitation (WASH). I have collaborated with government agencies, the UN, and grassroots in six countries.

In 2014, I was senior advisor to RIF (now The Good Lobby) for the drafting of the European Directive on the protection of whistleblowers, which was approved by the European Parliament in 2019. At the same time, I edited the press review in five languages for the European Parliament, the Bundesbank, E.on, and other financial and industrial groups.

Dicono di me

Claudia Sfetez, autrice, docente e ostetrica
