Cycles and energy

The more aware of cycles we are, the greater the health, sense of grounding and purpose we have. Cycles redefine our understanding and feeling of death. We are so attached to forms, images, and appearances, that we often think that with death everything ends.

However, we are made of energies. Our body-mind is organised energy. Energy cannot be created or destructed, only transformed. We scorn magic but planet Earth is a master of shape shifting.

The menstrual cycle and death

The menstrual cycle is but one of the many cycles on Earth, and all of them share the same rhythm. This is what emerges from Studio Medulla’s pioneering research and applications.

One of the characteristics of cycles is that, in their phase 1 and 3, death and life coincide.

Menstruation and death

We tend to think that Cycle Day 1 is the first day of menstrual flow because it is convenient to count from when we see the blood. This is incorrect. The cycle does start when the endometrium (the inner lining of the uterus) dies, because the moment is dies, the brain sends a new message to the ovaries to start another cycle.

Similarly, we tend to associate menstrual bleeding to infertility and death. While this is certainly true, there is a side of the story which is hardly ever taken into consideration.

Menstrual blood is alive

Menstrual blood is richer than normal blood. It was created to nourish new life, and it is therefore packed with rich nutrients. In addition, menstruation contains stem cells.

Stem cells are special human cells that can develop into many different cell types, from muscle cells to brain cells. In some cases, they also can even repair damaged tissue.

Even Iran has opened a menstrual blood stem cells Bank, because “pecunia non olet” (money doesn’t stink).
